Prosumer

Prosumer describes a market segment for video, audio, and other multimedia tools that have features required by professionals, but are still in the price range for hobbyists. Prosumer tools are often used by both smaller businesses and hobbyists often doing professional quality work. In a few cases, like AviSynth, software that's free, and even open source, may be considered prosumer quality.
