RAMPRG, or the DVD-RAM Promotion Group, consists of nine major corporations that promote the use of the DVD-RAM re-writable media format for both consumer and business applications. The group tells the selling points of the DVD-RAM format, which hasn't seen the success of recordable formats that made it to the market later, like DVD-R and DVD-RW. The group often makes comparissons between DVD-RAM and DVD-RW, +RW, including the support for CPRM, which allows users to record protected broadcasts (Japan).
