Uploading media to Flickr, YouTube, sharing your files
Flickr
Let's get started with the Flickr feature. On the left side panel, head over to your Pictures Library (we set this in the preferences). Select the pictures, or pictures you want to upload, and hit the Flickr button on the bottom right. From here, you can tag your photos, add descriptions, or rename your pictures. When you have done this, hit Publish and you will be asked to give DT permission to access your web browser. Hit Continue and you will be asked, in your web browser, to sign in to your Flickr or Yahoo account. Once you have your pictures will have been uploaded to Flickr and you can share those links as you wish :)
YouTube
The next portion of the guide is devoted to the YouTube sharing aspect. Very similar to that of Flickr, on the left side panel, head over to your Videos Library (we set this in the preferences). Select the video or videos you want to upload and make sure to add descriptions, titles and tags, as it will be a hassle to change those later in YouTube. Hit Publish and you will be asked to sign in to your YouTube account. At that point, your videos will be uploaded and you can check them from your account online.
Sharing your files with friends
The next part is just as straight forward. If you want to send files to a friend, head over to music, videos, or pictures and select what you want. Hit Send in the bottom right and you will be taken to a page that allows you to send your files to contacts you have either in Gmail or Yahoo. You can also, obviously, manually add an email addy. You can then add a message with your email.
Add friends
Making it even easier to share files, is the ability to add friends to your DT account. To do so, head to the left side panel again and hit Add Friends. You can then send invites to friends via Gmail or Yahoo or manually write them in. If those friends accept the invite and join, they will show up in your friends list and you can drag and drop files to them with everything fully automated.
On the next page, you will learn how to use DT to sync your many media devices in one easy to use program
