Sync your Android phone with DT

Now, use the sync cable and connect your GI or other Android phone to your computer. It should show up instantly, but if it does not, try rebooting your PC and then opening DT again. If you do not have an SD card in there you may want to not continue, as the G1 at least, does not have too much internal memory.

If you have an SD card, please do the following to make it available:
Insert your microSD card into the slot in your G1 and plug the phone into your computer. Your phone will give you a notification that you are now connected via USB so open the notification and select Mount. Your SD card will now be accessible via the computer as a removable drive, and also viewable in DT.

You will only have three tabs now. From here you can select exactly what music, video and picture files you want to sync over, or just set it to sync all. A very interesting feature is that DT will re-encode, on the fly, files that will not natively play on the G1.

On the next page we will finish up by learning how to import videos right from YouTube or other video sharing sites
