the 620AS series from Seagate are poorly made units. being a fan of Seagate's HDDs almost my entire computer carrier i have to say these where a major flop and issue's with these where quietly brushed under the rug.

otherwise Seagate HDDs rock as with any purchase on PC hardware do your homework.

I had three of these and they all died on me.. I personally would have cared less but I had all of my baby pics on them and countless home movies stored on them. The thing about it that really got me was that they died in tandem one after the other.. The only way I will ever buy another seagate is if they are the only hard drives left on the market.. stick with maxtor or WD

These particular drives are whisper quiet. I have had a pair of these for almost 2 years now and they work like the day they were new. Very dependable plus good read/write speeds.
