This is the Euro version of the Toshiba HD A35.
I've had mine for just over a month now and I think it is an amazing player.
It upscales regular DVD superbly and it's HD DVD playback is flawless.
It's true that loading times are a little slower than regular DVD, but surely everyone by now knows this is the case - these players are far more complex than regular DVD.
Think of it like this; you wouldn't expect your PC to come on instantly, would you?
It is only a short delay anyways.
This player also supports all the new audio codecs and thanks to its analogue outputs you don't necessarily need to spend out on a new receiver able to do all the work, if your receiver can just pass audio through via it's analogue inputs then this player will do all the work.....and all I can say is wow!
Amazing audio.
It really is noticeable and it's my opinion that it is worth paying the little extra over the HD A30/EP30 to experience that incredible audio quality.
Thinking back to how feature-free and outrageously expensive 'ordinary' DVD was when it first came out I can only rate this as a fantastic value player (especially with 7 freebie movie discs coming with it).
According to owners of he Denon very high-end 'regular DVD' players this rates as well as them in performance terms.....and it is a superb gen 3 HD DVD player.
