so if the mpaa feel that "guilty by proxy" is legal, then they are also accountable for the recent American company's actions "mediadefender", as DDoS as far as i am aware in the us is a federal offence and amounts to terrorism in light of GW Bushes new laws and isn't also entrapment against the law. Even if the leaked document are not admissible in court there should be a federal investigation being conducted right atm. so seems the mpaa are funding these terrorists, they are guilty of supporting terrorism, and therefore sent to guantanamo bay for supporting terrorists!

no you see, even though it is a federal offense, it probably won't get much attention. I believe this because the media defender leak wasn't a highly publicized thing outside of the tech community. So if places like CNN and Fox News aren't covering it, then it will be easier to get away with. I men most of these companies are members or owned by members of the MPAA, why would they cover a story showing how they screwed up?
Plus I'm sure that politicians won't want to lose the funding they get from the MPAA so it will all be swept away and all those involved will be sent to Git-mo and never heard from again.
I think Family Guy put it best (MPAA is the guide and we are Brian) LINK

By this logic, anyone who says "There's a crime being comitted over there" is guilty of the crime.

As usual the MPAA is providing free advertisement for these sites that no one ever heard of. I never heard of these sites until I read about the MPAA suing them. I don't think the strategy is working out as planned.

So every american is guilty of illegal immigration? After all we know were it comes from...
Every university is guilty of underage drinking...and so are the alchohol making companys...
I guess next time there is a bank robbery and/or murder all the witnesses should be placed in jail for bank robbery and/or murder...
This is an awesome law that the MPAA has come up with... we all know where the terrorists are, so can we start suing everyone for not enlisting or pciking up a gun and going after the terrorsits personally...
One of the MPAAs parent companies should make an educational film titled Vigilanties are the only non-criminals all others should be sent to jail...

I am gonna go out on a limb here, but I think the case here is that they actually "Linked" to the sites. So for anyone who wants to thumb their nose at the powers that be just make a list of urls saying "Stay off these sites they host illegal content" and you should be in the clear. If the MPAA comes after you then there will be one hell of a fun time in court. In this case you are not condoning the action you are actually "against" it. Loopholes people loopholes.
