In January 2008, EchoStar plans to make big Sling announcements in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The company only agreed to buy SlingMedia a matter of weeks ago but last week in New York, EchoStar showed Sling's gear at its booths at both a pre-CES product expo and a press event in Pepcom's "Digital Experience" series. The deal between EchoStar and SlingMedia is worth $380 million.
