Nero holiday offer: 10 percent discount (and free DVDRs)

Nero is offering a 10 percent discount for AfterDawn users on their flagship product, Nero 8 Ultra Edition.

In addition to the discount, they'll throw in freebies to the deal as well -- users who buy the Ultra Edition before 2nd of January, 2008 will also receive a 10-pack of DVD-R media and Nero Photoshow Deluxe 5 for free. Please note that the offer is provided by Nero USA and therefor is limited to U.S. and Canada only.

I bought Nero 8 , works great but the start smart screen is absolutely horrible after the simplicity of Nero 7. Works on Vista fine as well, Vista itself does suck, if I get one more "internet explorer has stopped working" message with the spinning donut, i'm going to fly over to MS HQ myself and twist old Bill's nipples till they drop off and the sawdust runs on to the ground. Vista does suck in general...as everyone had said earlier.. I would die before buying any program at all. All I buy are games. other stuff I get places that I shouldn't mention here. [ + quote]

I have purchased several laptops recently for my customers all preloaded with Vista, and uninstalled it and reloaded with XP with SP2 just because it is far more reliable even with it's quirks etc. As far as buying Nero 8 they can go piss in my hat!! I am quite happy with 7 and the updates I have done with it and why fix it if it is'nt broken? [ + quote]
