Qtrax gets last major label onboard for free, legal P2P

Qtrax gets last major label onboard for free, legal P2P Qtrax, the ad-supported music service that launched to much fanfare (but no music) over a year ago has finally managed to get deals with all four major record labels in place.
Following last January's embarassing debut many people questioned whether Qtrax would ever actually have any music to download. Later in the year they began announcing deals with major labels, first EMI and then Universal Music Group.

In June, 2008 they finally introduced some music to their service, followed later in the year with a deal with Sony BMG. Now they've announced an agreement with Warner Music Group, which will give them access to songs from every major label.

Stephen Bryan, WMG's Senior Vice President, Digital Strategy and Business Development, said, "Today's music industry is undergoing a dynamic transition which has us continually exploring fresh ways
of delivering music to consumers. We look forward to leveraging platforms
like Qtrax's to broaden the reach of our artists' music and provide consumers
with a unique and legal music-discovery experience."

Seriously a year later does anyone still care?

One year later? I remember when all the hype for this turned out to be a complete let down. It certaintly took them long enough to get the deals. Do they have drm by any chance?

Rumor is you can hide your location and make it look like you're in the States, then you're in the UK. Haven't tried it myself but heard it works.

Sorry - I just as ignorant as you. And you're pretty ignorant.

But I think if we put our heads together, we can prove there's something to this AfterDawn.

Here's what I found so far:
http://www.digitalalchemy.tv/2007/04/byp...d-iran-and.html
http://youtubeproxy.org/

I also typed into my browser "Free Proxy" to see where that might go.

If we all research this in our own ways, we can all be watching free television from the U.S., and I personally want to watch unrestricted tv from the UK.

(now watch some brain will tell us all the simple secret to watch streaming videos from anywhere in the world free and unrestricted - maybe)
