Two days after announcing the North American release date , Nintendo has announced the release date of the DSi for Europe, April 3rd, two days before the American release.
The handheld will cost $169.99 USD in North America and will cost "around GBP 149" in Europe.
Another notable difference from the US launch is the color schemes. North Americans will get to pick between black and blue (as pictured to the right) but European gamers will get to choose from black and white, the two choices the Japanese currently have.

Why we don't get a white dsi makes no sense at all.

Maybe Nintendo is making people want a white DSi in North America but is pushing them to buy a blue or black one, and in a few months they'll make a splashy announcement of NA getting a white DSi and then people will go nuts selling their blue DSis and then going out and buying the white one.
I know the above sounds weird, but it may be that Nintendo is making a marketing strategy. The DS was the same...I was launched in black and white (IIRC) and in a matter of months they started launching new colors and I personally know people who went out to their local GameStop and sold their DSs to buy the new colors...It's sad actually...

Why doesn't Europe get a blue DSi?
THAT makes no sense.
The 'odd' colours are usually the colour that sells better.

nevermind the colours...
what should be the main talking point is the similarity in price despite the exchange rate.. $169 - £149.
At todays rate, $169=£118. robbing gits!

No it's sick actually ... Like these retards who go out and trade in a car just to get another color and extend their payments for much longer. This is a child's mentality and it is sad to say that many, if not most, people fit into this catagory. Mindless, childlike retards. That is the main reason why we need to bring back the poll tax !!!
