DivX Codec v4.0 beta released

Project Mayo/OpenDivX/DivX.com (man, these guys have more projects than us ;-) released a new version of the DivX Codec, version 4.0 beta. It's a legal version of super-popular DivX codec, developed by OpenDivX project -- the old, widely used v3.11 codec is based on Microsoft's MPEG4 codec and is therefore illegal.

To give a bit of a perspective about this products popularity, DivX.com's server went down/lagged badly today and they had to take the service down for an upgrade, because their system couldn't handle the traffic the release of new version caused :-)
