Google Nexus Prime with Ice Cream Sandwich coming October 11th

Samsung and Google will unveil the Nexus Prime flagship device on October 11th, powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The hardware maker has sent out invites for CTIA with the tagline "get a look at what's new from Android."

Youtube.com/android will be the home of the live streaming for the event, and Samsung is expected to announce some major products besides the Nexus Prime.

The Prime is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S II (spec-wise) but there are still likely surprises waiting.

The broadcast begins at 11:30 AM PST and we will have a report as it streams.

Hopefully ICS will put an end to the complaints WP7 users say about android being slow despite having dual cores. Makes me wonder if WP7 will one day overtake the android.

I really don't think Windows Phone will take off and ever gain significant marketshare. Microsoft was just way too late to the party and Apple and Google are already entrenched. Not to mention that when you go into most cell phone stores there's only like 2 total Windows handsets.

As for the Nexus Prime, I hope they make a GSM one available for multiple carriers. If it's Verizon only like the rumors say then I'll gladly pass on it and just get the Galaxy S2 when it comes out on the 14th.
