Sony Pictures already acquiring rights for Steve Jobs film

There is already a movie about him...it is called, "Pirates of Silicon Valley".

since when do you need rights to make films based on public figures? just wondering, as "unauthorized biographies" are written/published all the time.

Seriously? Who friggin cares. He was an edited by ddp. A visionary edited by ddp true but that doesn't change the fact that he was an edited by ddp.

Didn't the courts say that it was legal to use someone's name and likeness without permission after EA refused to pay royalties to that NBA player that was on the cover of one of their games?
