Will the Apple logo have another bite taken out of it after this? ;-) Flat fee collection models for compensating copyright holders has potential but is pretty screwed up right now. That SACEM is claiming the moral high ground with statments like {"...make sure that the rights of artists, composers and producers are respected." is just such a bad joke. The way the rights thugs (like the RIAA, SACEM) have divided up and paid out (skimmed?) these monies has been hotly debated within the industry for years and has been portrayed by many song writers and artists as being totally inequitable and unjust. Just more hogwash, BS, and spin I guess.
