What next? A state operated firewall like China's? This isn't far removed from that...

Hijack! Quote: the fucking governement should check ITSELF before they go after other people for child porn.
I hope they do get rid of the child porn. It's sickening to think about it. And I'm very happy to say that I have never seen child porn.

Is this the only ISP the Danish have access to, or are they just targeting one to see if they can get away with it before going after the other ISP's.

It's so hilarious. The RIAA know they lost and can't get allofmp3 to shut down, so now they are going to sue everyone who has any connections whatsoever with them, even minor. Pitiful.

dont get me wrong child porn is way way bad, but you know thats going to be the ruse they use to finaly filter the net in america. it was the excuse they used to get the search engine samples. who the hell would just go on google and type "child porn"? doesnt google filter child porn by itself?

OK folks................here's how to bypass. If you're in Denmark, simply work with someone OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY and do a "Remote Desktop" (RDP) session to an IP outside the country being screwed (Denmark). Then, after logging into the target computer, simply do all your downloads from there and pick the most convenient means to send the d/l's to the forbidden user (ftp, dvd, cd, etc.) IFPI and their 'ruling' can kiss my downloading arse.
PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily Tele2 is fighting the verdict, but I'm sorry to say that I'm just not sure the judges of Denmark got enough brains to realize what they've started and overrule the verdict at the appeal.
I work at another Danish ISP, and while everyone thinks the ruling is ludicrous, if IFPI gets they're way, soon all danish ISP's will be overwhelmed with lawsuits telling them to block this and block that, it will be hell on earth and the end of the internet society as we know it.

SO in order for the corperations to protect thems elfs they are going to sue ISPs into the ground unless they firewall and block stuff?
No wonder the corperations are trying to undermine governments across the world 0_o

I too must say that the comment about Allof giving you viruses and malware IS BS!!!
As some of you may know I have been, and am, a huge suporter of this site and try to provide facts and evidence about the legality of this site in Russia as well as the legality of using this site from within the US.
I have never, repeat, NEVER had an unathorized use of my credit card, obtained a keylogger, spyware, a virus, or anything bad from this site... unless of course you consider high quality mp3's at $2-$4 an ALBUM as being something bad!
I openend up a seperate bank account when I first began using this site because I was leary of a russian site having my credit card... 2 years later and still NO PROBLEMS. And that goes for my PC as well!
As for my other personal data... I monitor that as well as my credit reports and nothing bad there either.
I HATE to call BS on anyone but TabletPC you are just dead wrong about this!

TabletPC: Your comments regarding Allofmp3 are absolute BS. I've been using Allofmp3 for years with no problems
at all.
With reference to credit card details being stolen, you
want to worry about the call centre's in India where lists of credit card details are regularly sold.
Only recently, a call centre worker was arrested for selling a list of 20,000 credit card details.

that´s bs about allofmp3 stealing cc details...
never had any problem using my cc´s over the net...
actually, the only problem I ever had was a duplicated charge, from an US institution...

ALLofMP3 get rights to sell songs in Russia.
ALLofMp3 pays the correct legal amount per song to sell them.
AllofMp3's server is IN RUSSIA.
So, what in there says that Danish laws apply?
or US laws?
And about "getting around it"
hasn't anyone ever heard of a proxy or proxy bouncer?

just realized that the whole basic problem is manifested in the name of IFPI.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phonograph
how about changing the name to something that doesn't actually refer to something built in 19th century?

@gogochar:
Quote: I hope they do get rid of the child porn. It's sickening to think about it. And I'm very happy to say that I have never seen child porn.
Did u not know that back in 1994 when the Internet became really hot in the U.S., the first major sites to go up were (in this order): adult porn, gambling/casinos, child porn, MLM (multi-level marketing).
Do you really think that Fortune500 companies do not have investors behind all these adult/child porn sites? Hmmmmm...me thinks people are too damn naive for their own good.
There's no way porn sites are ever being eliminated from the Internet, it would be a good thing. but the M.A.F.I.A.A. will try to get its way with file sharers.
Just remember everyone, all you need to do it Google on darknets, onion routing, .TOR, and closed mutual P2P networks. You can invite your close friends, and they invite all their close friends, and you have a big local file sharing service, virutally undetectable by the M.A.F.I.A.A. snoops. Then, you find more trustworthy people with more files....
...and break the f***ing back of the MPAA/RIAA with their Gestapo tactics!

So when is the book going to come out "7 Habits of Highly Effective Governments?" :P
This is definately a "communist" ruling. The people won't stand for it, if that's the route they want to take though.... hehehe.
