SlySoft has released an updated version of the anti-copy protection software package, AnyDVD, that runs in the background and removes copy protection restraints from DVD-Video discs. AnyDVD HD also does the same for both HD DVD titles and Blu-ray titles. Now SlySoft has turned its attention to another problematic form of copy protection, Protect DVD-Video.
"Protect DVD-Video" can now be played on Windows MCE 2005, with Windows Media Player or Zoom Player. Without the help of AnyDVD, the discs cannot be played. Examples are "Wer früher stirbt..." and "Perfume", both R2, German.
"Shame on the makers of this really bad protection. They don't do their customers a favour, if they cannot watch the original disc! We really hope that they get these discs slapped in their faces by their (ex)customers," said Giancarlo Bettini, SlySoft CEO.
