Dell 30 inch display includes DisplayPort input Dell has announced that it is releasing a 30-inch display which includes a plethora of input options, including DisplayPort.
The display sports a 2560 x 1600 resolution and includes two DVI ports, an HDMI port, DisplayPort, analog VGA, composite video, component video and S-video connectors.

Dell New Zealand "lists the 3008WFP’s response time at 8ms and quotes 178-degree viewing Angles. Brightness for the monitor is 370cd/m2 and the dynamic contrast ratio is 3000:1. The stand has tilt, swivel, and is height adjustable. Pricing for the 3008WFP on the New Zealand Dell site is NZ$2,699 delivered, equating to about $2,040 USD."

The display is set to be officially announced at the CES show in January.

It is important to note however that to use the DisplayPort on the monitor you will need a DisplayPort equipped video card.

true. so does mine. but i am sure yours isnt one that displays that high resolution. mine is 720p. i'd imagine urs is equal or at least a 1080p screen at best.

I own the original 3007WFP, and playing games at 2560x1600 really has to be seen to be believed. I've always been a bit miffed you can't hook up any proper HD sources to it though, since it's only compatible with desktop PCs (so no laptops, let alone DVD players or consoles). Who knows maybe I'll have to eat my previous statement of "at least I won't need to upgrade my monitor for a while"... :P

Nice product and features but however the price is a bit high at the moment. I'll wait for awhile.

Given that it'll effectively be the most elite PC monitor you can buy, I think the price tag is quite respectable.
