iLuv introduces new DVD/iPod hybrid player iLuv announced today that it has begun shipping the unique i1255 DVD/iPod hybrid player, which includes a DVD player with 5.1-channel surround sound as well as a built-in iPod dock.
All compatible iPods can output video to the attached TV and the DVD portion can support raw data CDs, DVDs and MP3 and JPEG photo discs.

The player also has an audio input for playback of devices other than the iPods using the 5.1 speakers.

iLuv says compatible iPods include the iPod touch, iPod classic, third-generation iPod nano, and 5G iPod with video.

The player is shipping with a street price of $150 USD.

sorry if this is a we bit off topic but its not relay I have been looking for a solid DVD boombox with line in and MP3 off a DVD, anyone heard of any of these?

I don't really care about video but I do want sound + line in +mp3 off DVD capability.

Wow I can't wait to listen to 5.1 on my Ipod! ha!
Who really has dolby encoded files on an ipod anyway.
