Chinese 'Thunder' is most used torrent client According to new figures from TorrentFreak, uTorrent is no longer the most used torrent client in the world, being surpassed by the Chinese client "Thunder." The data was collected from 357 million unique peer IDs from all over the world.
About 30 percent of all tracker connections come from China, with the U.S. as a distant runner up at 8 percent.

Thunder/Xunlei has taken the lead from uTorrent and the stats were taken from OpenBitTorrent, PublicBitTorrent and Denis Stalker trackers. Vuze remains close in third place.

If I was Thunder/Xunlei I would stay on the "downlow" of the radar screen.
It's not something to brag about, less "the man" get too interested. The man has been known to go after lesser "torrent clients" that got too big for there own good.
Hopefully we won't be reading an "eulogy" on the demise of Thunder/Xunlei in the foreseeable future.

But Torrent clients themselves are perfectly legal, it's the data being shared without the copyright holder's permission that isn't.
Xunlei looks like a strange Chinese version of BitComet

It IS bitcomet.. or a clone of the code. .. obsolete and highly insecure.. the reason private trackers ban all bit***** code based clients.
