Who can afford this in Vietnam? Isn't about 1/2 of the population in this country dirt poor? Food/clothing is more of a priority to those folks than some console. I know that some people in Vietnam have tvs, entertainment systems, but it seems to be misplaced. I'm scratching my head here. - BLUEBOY

I think the PS3 will do fine in Vietnam. All electronics in Vietnam cost more than they are here. There are a good amount of rich people in Vietnam, not including the communists, those $*@! can afford anything.

Even the not so rich can afford the PS3. They just need to save up for it. For some reason, people in Vietnam like to show off. So when something new comes out, they all have to have it. But my guess is a good amount of people in Vietnam already got the PS3 since the system has been out for years. My cousin in Vietnam is not rich at all but he uses a $500 phone haha. My guess is to just show off. I'm here in the US and all the phones I've ever used are free ones that comes with the plan hahaha.

WTF??? $243 for a slim PS2? They can't sell them for $100 here in the states! I wonder how many drug smugglers are considering smuggling PSPs.
