Apple could sell as many as 15 million iPhones this quarter

Apple could sell as many as 15 million iPhones this quarter According to a new note by Rodman & Renshaw Equity Research, Apple could sell up to 15 million iPhones in the quarter ending in September, easily the company's strongest quarter for iPhone sales.
Sales will be boosted by the upcoming iPhone "4G" or "HD," the smartphone leaked last month by Gizmodo after it was left in a bar by an Apple developer.

Rodman & Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar said the company will manufacture 12 million of the new iPhone HD for the September quarter, which combined with iPhone 3GS sales could lead to 15 million for the period.

For the fiscal year, Apple could sell 40 million iPhones, up from 18 million for the fiscal 2009.

Adds Kumar (via SFGate): "Apple is close to achieving peak market share with its existing lineup of wireless carriers. The only way to keep growing its iPhone business is to expand its relationships with other carriers and to become more carrier-agnostic."

The new iPhone will have a front-facing camera for video conferencing, a better standard camera (including larger lens and flash), a Micro-SIM slot (just like the iPad), large 960x640 resolution, a second mic, metallic exterior (not plastic) and split side buttons for volume.

I'm still debating if I should go with Verizon's Droid Incredible, or Sprint HTC Evo 4g, or stick with crappy AT&T for Iphone HD....hmmm, need some suggestion

If you are somewhere with Clearwire (AKA Sprint) WiMax, then the Evo 4g would probably be your best bet. If you are somewhere with no WiMax or other so-called "4G", then the Droid Incredible on verizon might be a better choice. If you have a serious head injury with significant brain damage, then the iPhone 4G would probably be the best choice...along with an iPad and a pet rock.

yea, i checked sprint for 4g service, they don't have it around my area...and not even listed for future updates either....so that sucks...i might just have to go to Verizon, i wonder how Droid Incredible will be. anybody got one yet?

i'd never understand why buisness men and tech people would want an iphone but i know why teenagers and college students would.
ive never owned an iphone before but i think i will buy the one coming out soon.that is because i won ( and i stress won-an ipod touch) and its nice to have a wide selection of fun games for your phone for once, something thats not possible on any other phone. thats the only pro i see in the iphone and obviously the con of being an apple product that you have to work hard to make ceratain things that would easily be operational on other phones, work.
you can say im brain dammaged but ill never buy an ipad and i hate macs. the iphone simply meets needs that other phones dont.
