Facebook is down

Written by Matti Robinson @ 31 Aug 2010 9:32 User comments (27)

Facebook is down Apparently Facebook has hit the user limit and crashed. Or it might be some other issue but currently millions and millions of Farmville addicts are cursing as Facebook seems to be down in its entirety.
According to Downrightnow.com, Facebook has been offline for couple hours and the hundreds of millions of users around the world are missing their hourly dosage.

The downtime not only affects the site itself but a lot of its partners and sites that use Facebook to spread their word -- such as your beloved AfterDawn.com. There has been no confirmation from Facebook why the site is inaccessible but it definitely is no intended maintenance break. Hopefully, Facebook will be able to straighten out their problems soon.

For now, liking things is on hold.

It's working fine here.

It was down for a while, as Matti pointed out it was down for a couple of hours. But I do want to point out that for more than a week now Facebook has had some major problems in various ways. And those problems seem to be carrying over into various games and other third-party connections in how they function with Facebook. It believe the problem is likely in the fact that they are reaching the limits of their bandwidth and server capabilities. But since Facebook tends to ignore inquiries and genuine assistance for user tech support, it is likely we'll never know.

-_- Yet another reason I don't use Facebook,Sure you can't tell when Youtube go into Maint anymore and its Copyright system is BS, but Youtube hardly has any problems. Sure it when it does has glitches and probles, although it slow youtube fixes the problem, But Facebook. It takes Weeks to almost a month(or several) worth of political and public outcry against all its problems to fix anything.

"NO! Now I can't update my status 24/7, stalk I mean "view" peoples photos and comments, and get my friends count to over 900, where 95% of these people I have never met or don't talk to"

Ha, Facebook can explode into a million piece for all I care, along with texting and Twitter.

Facebook serves a valuable function...keeping facebook users from coming here! Other than that, they can burn in hell...those bastards got verizon to stick a facebook app on my phone in a way that it could not be removed, but root fixed that!
