Nokia looking into Windows 8 tablet

Nokia looking into Windows 8 tablet Nokia CEO Stephen Elop has confirmed the phone maker is looking "very closely" into building a Windows 8 tablet.
The CEO says there is a "real opportunity" in creating a Nokia tablet because tablets are "a natural companion to smartphones."

Additionally, Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 will supposedly provide a strong unified user experience no matter device you are on, be it a phone, tablet, or PC, due to shared underlying code.

If accurate, the move would be only the second time Nokia has tried the tablet market. Back in 2005 the company offered a bulky Linux-based device which of course flopped due to being well before its time and lacking applications.

For now, there is no word on whether the company is actually developing a tablet, although there have been rumors throughout the year.
