The display has Gorilla Glass 2 and you can connect to "the strongest Wi-Fi connection ever." The case is built of magnesium, and the "liquid metal is formed into an ultra rigid and light frame" while weighing just 1.5 lbs.

Under the hood is 2GB RAM, a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, dual-cameras, Bluetooth 4.0, Stereo speakers, a full-size USB 2.0, a microSDXC card reader, Headphone jack and HD video out port.

Additionally, the device has access to all Windows apps for music, movies and more, and all games from the Windows Store. Full Microsoft Office is installed, as well.

It's not even remotely on my radar to purchase one of these, especially with all the limitations it comes with.

Damn Microsoft this is only the RT version, just a 100 bucks too much for me.

Agree that they priced it $100 too high. I may get one anyway, but a lot of people will turn away because Microsoft overpriced this. Very poor decision by Microsoft.

If it was $200 cheaper, I would be tempted from a hardware perspective, but I still would avoid it in favor of an Android tablet.

I was really looking forward to this but at that price! what were they thinking?! with the heavy competition out there this is not the way to introduce yourself to the market, especially Microsoft. I'm dissappointed and can forsee a price drop coming once they realise that they mucked this right up.

:O(

That was the logical price, well, logical from a corporate logic standpoint, still not worth that much. $500 for a base model? I can get an actual laptop for half that...and it will actually run Windows software!
