Apple will upgrade a newly purchased 3rd gen iPad to 4th gen for free

Apple has confirmed that it will give consumers who purchased a third-generation iPad in the last 30 days a free upgrade to the newly announced fourth generation iPad.
That being said, the exchange will have to be done in stores, and is at the discretion of the store itself.

Some stores may not choose to exchange, but anyone who purchased in the last two weeks is still under the 14-day return policy no matter what.

The new fourth generation iPad is powered by a new A6X chip, promising double the processing and graphics performance over the third generation iPad. It features a 9.7-inch Retina Display, and adds a FaceTime HD camera. Apple also promises twice the performance from Wi-Fi with the fourth generation iPad, along with broader international support for LTE.

The fourth generation iPad also features the new lightning connector, which can be utilized for TV out via a "Lightning to HDMI" or "Lightning to VGA" cable, and other cables adapters also support cameras and SD cards.

Yes, it chokes with me tears how much they care for their consumers.

Seriously?????????

Are you all seriously praising Apple for doing this???? WTF is with you people?!?!?!?!?

Should be condemning Apple for releasing products every single year causing the previous generation to become obsolete to the zombie Apple using sheep out there and filling landfills like crazy.

It's one thing if stuff is getting recycled but that's not the case in most situations as people simply kick the old one to the side and eventually toss.

Also, who needs "double the processing power" for a frakking Ipad?? And.....anyone that uses LTE for Ipads/tablets for leisure (anything other than business) is a goof for paying that obsurd monthly price.

I'm sure you upgrade your computer every 6-7 years and still have a tube TV in your living room too?

Come on, there is a tech craze and there's sensible. I have the 3. I won't upgrade unless I can unhaul mine for a substantial cost of what the 4 will run me. I'm far from the sheeple, but I also realize when you have to move along.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have longed to find somebody who agrees with me on how Apple shouldn't be rewarded for releasing a new version of their products so swiftly. I think it's outrageous that they charge so much for their products, then a year later, bring out a new version which makes the old product "obsolete".

Yes, I have an iPad 3, but I didn't purchase it. It was a gift. I am dead against Apple's marketing policies. I think they're diabolical and manipulative.

Once again, thank you for not being blind to this!
