Grand Theft Auto V on PS4, Xbox One in 2014, analyst expects

Grand Theft Auto V is likely to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles sometime next year, according to Colin Sebastian of Robert W. Baird & Co.
Sebastian predicted that Grand Theft Auto V would reach $1 billion in sales in its first month on the market, only to then watch it reach $800 million in sales in a single day, prompting him to call it the "largest entertainment property launch in history."

In a note to investors, he said the game will be launched on the next generation platforms - PlayStation 4 and Xbox One - sometime in 2014, saying it would help to extend the value of the franchise.

The next generation systems go on sale during November in the U.S. and Europe, with Sony aiming to sell five million before the end of its fiscal year, March 31.

While we ponder on when the new GTA will hit the next generation consoles, a petition seeking the blockbuster's release on PC has reached almost 480,000 signatures.

I seriously question the intelligence when it comes to peoples understanding of intellectual property, Licensing & distribution. Did they not ever stop and think why does it not come to PC on release like it does for the console...hmm maybe because there is exclusive licensing contracts between Sony & M$ to prevent that competition, but if you sign that paper just maybe! rockstar just might look at all those signatures and say "ah hell, we didn't know it meant that much to you, lets go ahead and brake our contracts exposing ourselves to litigation and potential loss in large amount of profit so you can play it on your pc...." See that happening!

Besides Rockstar is smart not putting it on a PC during initial release, anyone can download pirated software and its much more rampant than modded consoles so I think they would shoot themselves in the foot with an initial release.

I seriously question the intelligence of people who spell the word break as "brake."

*Tasteful* when without an argument, go for the grammar! But seriously don’t mind me; I probably have no idea what I’m talking about. I encourage you to get ahold of Terry Donovan CEO of Rockstar games! I’ll bet it’s all been one big misunderstanding and manufacturing & distribution can start as soon as Monday 

The PC release will be a definite day one for me. 60USD, 80USD, doesn't matter. I have all the others. This is the sort of game that really shouldn't be pirated. And it doesn't NEED to be pirated. People don't need a demo! They KNOW it's gonna be bad ass LOL! And the developers really do deserve return on arguably, one of the more sought games ;)

Grammar really needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Mobile users are rather dependent on auto correct and what not.

they'd be stupid not to
