Google Nexus 6 sells out in 45 seconds as the company has another botched Nexus launch

Google Nexus 6 sells out in 45 seconds as the company has another botched Nexus launch Every year Google releases a new Nexus reference device and like clockwork the company has a botched launch every year, as well.
This year is no different as the company promised a 10/29 launch but did not provide a time. After the orders went live at 1:15PM (why?) the 32GB model of the phone, in midnight blue, sold out in 20 seconds to be followed by the white model in 45 seconds.

It is clear that Google has failed another launch, or has clearly not made enough units available for sale. The 64GB models still read as "coming soon" with no time frame for purchase.

Google, it is time to finally get this right and reward Nexus buyers. For the 5 people who were lucky enough to get one, the shipping time shows as 3-4 weeks.

From reading a lot the comments for over the past week of people complaining about sticker price I'm surprised.

I got my N9 ordered though.

LOL.... Sorry for the disappointment but we don't feel the need to sink to android "lovers" levels. We don't hate android lovers.... We just like our platform of choice. Too bad android users aren't as civilized and tolerant about our "choice"!! We get it... You hate Apple. Enough already.

Ditched my cell year and half ago...........NEVER WILL OWN A CELLULAR PHONE EVER EVER EVER AGAIN!

Of course, as a network engineer, my boss and counterparts were unthrilled w/NOT being able to reach me whenever. SCREW THEM!

Android sucks! Bogs down like Windows Xp/Vista and older OS's. Needs constant refresh and why on GOD'S green earth would this sell out so quickly? Nothing has improved on cell phones......The whole innovation from Oppo by using 3GB RAM and upping the cell display to 2K and putting a quad core proc has lost its touch, its meaning and its allure.

JUST SAY NO.......to cell phones. Services suck, phones suck, prices suck, reliability suck.

A lot more interested in the Nexus 9 and Nexus Player myself. IMO, smartphones and tablets are just two different animals. There are too many compromises involved when you try to merge them into one. It's a hybrid -- a ridiculously bulky phone combined with a uselessly small tablet. Neither holds much appeal to me. (At least that's my opinion.)
