Sony Pictures computers still down for second day, following massive hacker attack Sony Pictures' computer systems are still down following yesterday's massive attack by a group that called itself #GOP.
Yesterday, the company's computers all saw a screen with a skull on it, with a warning message from a group calling itself #GOP. The group threatened that the warning was just the beginning and they would begin dropping stolen data until they get what they want. The demands were unclear, however.

Sources within Sony claimed yesterday that "We are down, completely paralyzed."

Sony did not have much to say except that "Sony Pictures Entertainment experienced a system disruption, which we are working diligently to resolve."

....and this is why Sony doesn't have my credit card information. Wonder what the demands are....

Well that doesn't look too good.. Wouldn't like to be working at Sony's IT department right now. Sounds like a lot of patching, investigating, and re-installing is scheduled for their end of the year.

Actually the reason for this attack seems pointless to me why would you attack a motion picture studio unless you where trying to steal films and movies which wouldn't be tied to the site to begin with moron hackers again lol

Sony has never had my credit card info or a single purchase out of me since the day LikSang shut it's doors, Karma is a bitch!

funny though sony owns a lot of company's under different names so most likely they have your credit card information and you just don't know it lol

There is speculation that it was the Korean government behind the attack as a protest against a recent movie and its portrayal of Kim Jong Un the Korean leader http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2...-brad-pitt-fury

If you look at America's track record from theft of the land from the Native Indians, Germ warfare (small pox used on the Indians), and mass murder/slavery to build that hell hole of a country? how can you call him a nut job?
