WATCH: Halo Wars 2 coming Fall 2016

Microsoft has revealed that the sequel to the Halo Wars real-time strategy game will drop during the Fall of 2016.
It is being developed by Creative Assembly (Total War) and will be available on both Xbox One and Windows 10 next fall. Microsoft used its Gamescom media presentation to show off a short video that doesn't provide much information, but we are told it will tout fast-paced action, massive battles, and an all-new Halo story.

The original Halo Wars was released in 2009, developed by the now-closed Ensemble Studios.

Check out the short video:

I've never understood the fascination with this game.

I'm 42, love gaming from time to time and love first person shooters but I played this P.O.S. right when MS made the first Halo available for Windows, like 2 or 3 years after it initially came out for Xbox.

I recall it being boring and repetitive requiring the player advance levels by simply fighting the same, virtually identical hoard over and over until the game let you proceed.

I've played 2 and 3 here and there and man.......it really is a game for simpletons. No complexity or strategic thought really needed.

What I'm trying to say is that IMO.......Halo really kinda sucks.

HALO Wars is a different animal; it's a RTS. That being said, it wasn't a very memorable one. Just a cookie-cutter RTS with a HALO overlay.
