There should be a special russian edition of the game...

1.) No Rainbow shirts, or in fact make all the uniforms red and blue so no one can accidentally make a rainbow with different uniforms.
2.) Invisible force fields around the players; wouldn't want it to look like man-on-man action!
3.) No announcer voices; wouldn't want someone to turn off the system at just the right time to cut off a word so it sounds like gey.
4.) Intro and load screens should be hardcore heterosexual porn; just to remind the audience what they should be doing.

That describes the version of the game that I want.

So start designing games yourself and stop bothering people over optional colorful uniforms. I question the design ethos of a game about a contact sport (yes, soccer has contact all the time) where the players cannot come into contact.

And the GOP was calling Democrats "snowflakes"..? I guess we can see how that really works out, can't we, Snowflake? Don't melt, now!

While I do think that the Russians are going about this the wrong way. It does need to be talked about.

Let me explain what is wrong with that.
It's not ok to do a complete 180. Because it is just as bad. It's no ok to say one thing is good but not another. It is either all good or all bad.

Can you recite any straight white ONLY clubs/groups that aren't labeled sexist or racist?
Are there any straight white only groups out besides the obligatory KKK?
Are there any straight white male only colleges? No we have to let everyone in. But they don't have to let us into theirs.

What I have a problem with is there is nothing for the straight white male to champion today. Thus creating a generation of disillusioned straight white males that are all that more susceptible to things like ISIS. Even some straight white females are in this same boat.

So what you are saying is that I and those like me should champion things that everyone on this planet should because there is nothing for JUST me and those like me to champion.
Where is the help for those like me that there is for ethnics?
People like me need no less help than anyone else.
But yet We get less.
I grew up dirt poor in the 80's. I do pretty decent for myself now but would be much better off if I had the same help as others.
What frustrates me the most is that no one needs more help than anyone else but there are those that do get it because we are having equality forced on us. By not giving everyone the same help. I'm all for everyone being treated equal. But that's just it. We're not. Because some are given help that others are not. I deserve no less help than anyone else.
Being a natural born white hetero male in the USA means I actually have it harder than everyone else because I an mot afforded the same assistance that everyone else is.

Absolute bullpuckey. I grew up VERY poor, as a lily-white Irishman by descent, and we got a LOT of help. Was it enough? No, never, that's the way our country is, but it also wasn't nothing. Food stamps, Section 8 (which my mother is on again, in her old age, I'll note), food banks, education assistance... Yeah, it was there, just like it was for black/brown people.

Apparently, you thought the reduction in welfare and other assistance during the Reagan years somehow fell upon white people the hardest. Nope! If you desire, I can drown you in references showing exactly the opposite. Just let me know.

How did this get to "those in need"? You mean "those gay people in Siberian prisons because of a BS law need our help"? If so, why would anyone start talking about you in that conversation? You may not like to admit it, but you don't have it as bad as everyone else. Gay people can't even get married in all 50 states yet and face plenty of discrimination. When was the last time a church showed up at a funeral to say that a soldier died because you are straight? Black people are several times more likely to be arrested in spite of committing crimes at about the same rate as white people. Women are still conditioned to see themselves as objects and to aspire to careers that don't pay well starting at an age before they can even talk. So saying that you, as a straight white man have it just as bad as everyone else just because your family was not rich is a load of crap. Oh, and if your only claim to help is that you were (or maybe still are) poor, then people do talk about you. People talk about helping the poor all the time and they do it too. You just want preferential treatment because you are white and straight...you don't want to earn your way, you want it given to you and you complain because people don't honor your very existence while you yourself are happy to see others persecuted. I don't want anything given to me. But I also don't want it given to anyone else either.
What people don't want to acknowledge is that being a straight white male makes living life no easier than anyone else.
So what gays can't get married in all 50 states. I have no desire to get married.
I don't want preferential treatment nor do I deserve it. No one deserves it.
