New Investors Aiming to Score With Motorsport's Exciting New Superleague Formula
BARCELONA, Spain, September 26 /PRNewswire/ -- - The New Motor Racing Championship That Features Branding From the World's Leading Football Clubs has Commenced a Final Round of Financing. Superleague Formula will debut in August next year with an initial series of six races staged in Europe. Leading international football clubs AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto, Olympiacos, Borussia Dortmund, RSC Anderlecht and Flamengo have already licensed their brand to the Barcelona-based organisers. Planning is already underway to launch a further five clubs in the next two months. The championship will feature at least 20 leading clubs in the new series that will utilise 750 horsepower, V-12 powered single seater racing cars built by US manufacturer, Elan Motorsports Technologies. The new engine has been purpose-built for the championship by UK manufacturer, Menard Competition Technologies. Following the completion of the most recent round of investment, Elan and Menard have now commenced production of the cars and engines that will run for the first time in February next year. New investors in the championship include Spanish Venture Capital company Clave Mayor as well as additional private investors from the Asian region. The new group of investors join a group of entrepreneurs and prominent business men, amongst who are Alex Andreu, the CEO of the Championship, who has years of experience in Sports Marketing, including the Olympic Games in Barcelona, the Rodés Family (who own various Communication companies), the Suqué Family (Perelada Cava and Casinos de Catalunya, the financial group Riva y GarcÃa, Juan Antonio Samaranch Salisachs (GBS Finanzas), Invest Formula Valencia (a group of investors from Valencia led by the lawyer Manuel Broseta Dupré) and Plácido Arango (owner of VIPS and the Starbucks franchise in Spain).
