Air China - Listed in the World's 500 Most Influential Brands 2007
BEIJING, China, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The ranking of "The World's 500 Most Influential Brands" for
the year of 2007, compiled by World Brand Lad, was revealed on June 13th in
New York with 12 Chinese brands listed. Chinese flag carrier Air China stands
at the 461st among 500 global brands. It was the first time for Air China to
play in the arena with world leading brands and a significant indication of
Air China's leap to be a world famous brand.
World Brand Lab is led by Nobel Laureate for economics Robert
Mundell. The World's 500 Most Influential Brands reflect the brand influence
worldwide. The results for the four consecutive years are based on a
half-year comprehensive survey on 3300 world renowned brands with the
evaluation of three critical indices: market share, brand loyalty and global
leadership.
"Air China is proud to receive this recognition," said Mr. Li
Jiaxing, Chairman of Air China. "We hope the ranking reflects passengers'
enthusiasm for our service, for our global network to and from China, and for
the stability of the airline, which has earned a consistent profit over the
past six years."
As the sole flag carrier in China, Air China has been
dedicated to providing private air transport and charter services for Chinese
leaders, foreign heads of the state or government and enjoys high global
reputation. Furthermore, after being designated as the sole air carrier
partner of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Air China will be responsible for air
transport for Beijing Olympic Games and Handicapped Games. Air China's
official joining of the world biggest airline alliance - Star Alliance in the
end of 2007 will further escalate its brand value worldwide.
