Contemporary Argentine Art Comes to the Henley Festival

HENLEY-UPON-THAMES, England, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- 101 works of art by contemporary Argentine artists are on show at the
Henley Festival next week (July 11-15). The works, by 12 artists living and
working in Britain and Europe, are part of a major attraction at the 25th
Anniversary Festival.

The exhibition is supported by the Anglo-Argentine Society, which was
founded in London in 1948.

Said Alexandra Daniell, Chairman of the Society, "Traditionally Argentine
artists have looked to Europe for their inspiration. So, given Britain's pole
position in the world of contemporary art, it is not surprising that so many
are living and working here today and giving us such a wealth of talent to
draw on."

Added Sole Nasi, Curator of the Exhibition, "I have set out to follow the
traditions of the Henley Festival by showcasing the exhibition in an
entertaining and engaging way, but always hoping to surprise."

Entrance to the Henley festival is by ticket only except on Sunday 15
July when there is free access to all areas for the Family Art Event .between
11.30am and 2.00pm.
