Commerce Decisions Supports Ogcbuying.Solutions in Successful Letting of Large and Complex Pan-Government Framework Agreement

OXFORD, England, December 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Commerce Decisions has announced that its eEvaluation tool has supported
OGCbuying.solutions in the successful letting of the Legal Services framework
agreement. The project, which was delivered though the eSourcing Managed
Service provided by BravoSolution, was designed to refresh the contractual
framework from which a wide range of public sector organisations can procure
quality, value for money legal services. It is worth an estimated GBP240
million over the four-year lifetime of the contract.

OGCbuying.solutions is an executive agency of the Office of Government
Commerce (OGC) and as a leading national procurement organisation it sources
more than 500,000 products and services from over 500 suppliers. The OGC is
responsible for improving value for money by driving up standards and
capabilities in procurement, from commodity buying to the delivery of major
capital projects; maximising the effective use of 60% of Government spending
and a GBP30 billion property estate.

eEvaluation was a critical part of the overall project, as Pat Desmond,
Senior Frameworks Manager for Corporate Support at OGCbuying.solutions,
comments here, "The eEvaluation tool gave me tremendous project control,
which in turn allowed me to deliver the project on time and to a consistently
high quality. The tool also allowed me to focus on the right areas and gave
me clarity of purpose. I will definitely be using eEvaluation again."

The eEvaluation module of the eSourcing toolkit is a collaborative
web-based software solution designed specifically to support the strategic
procurement process from Request for Information preparation, through
proposal evaluation to negotiation, delivery and post contract review. This
unique eEvaluation product is proven to reduce time to contract, improve
value for money and reduce risk. It has been used to support strategic
procurements in a range of commercial and public sectors including utilities,
transport, local government, healthcare, aerospace and defense. These
procurements cover a broad range of activities including the provision of
schools, hospitals, and transport and defense systems across Europe and the
US.

"We are very pleased to be working with OGCbuying.solutions. The Legal
Services framework agreement is an excellent example of where the significant
value that our eEvaluation tool can deliver to project teams working on
large, complex, and time challenged projects can be clearly seen," said John
Thompson, CEO, Commerce Decisions.
