MILPITAS, California, December 4 /PRNewswire/ --
California Micro Devices (Nasdaq: CAMD) today announced that it has
opened a Northern Europe sales office in Espoo, Finland and that Kalle
Katevuo has been named Northern Europe sales manager. Reporting to David
Casey, vice president of sales, Katevuo brings more than 12 years of
semiconductor design, applications and sales experience to his new post.
"Mobile handset suppliers based in Northern Europe represent almost half
of the total market," according to Casey, "and our appointment of Kalle to
manage our new sales office in this region clearly indicates the priority we
place on these suppliers." He noted that Katevuo is a native of Finland and
has design engineering experience as well as a solid understanding of mobile
handset design requirements.
Katevuo comes to CMD from Mentor Graphics where he most recently worked
as a senior applications engineer consultant in Silicon Valley, and
