REAL Software Launches Redesigned Web Site in Seven Languages

AUSTIN, Texas, December 12 /PRNewswire/ --

- Supported by REAL SQL Server - 600,000 requests daily with no downtime

REAL Software, a leading producer of cross-platform development software
for Windows, Macintosh OS/X and Linux, has launched an expanded global web
presence to reflect its international reach. The site is now available in
Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, French, German, Italian,
Japanese and for the first time, Spanish. The dynamic functions of the site
are supported by REAL Software's REAL SQL Server, which has handled up to
600,000 requests a day (20 million requests per month) with zero downtime.

The task of creating and maintaining 8 language versions of the site has
been simplified by storing the text portions in a REAL SQL database. REAL
Software uses a company-developed REALbasic application that makes it easy
for the localization team to translate the language of each web page without
having to modify any HTML code or being concerned about graphic placement or
formatting. The appropriate text is downloaded on demand as needed.

"The development of our new web site is a milestone for the company,"
states Geoff Perlman, CEO. "For the first time we are using our own
technology as a cornerstone of our web strategy. Our new web functionality
has operated flawlessly thanks to the stability of REAL SQL Server."
