Minicom to Unveil Longest Range Digital Signage Distribution System at Screen Expo

JERUSALEM, Israel, January 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Minicom Advanced Systems (http://www.minicom.com) is set to unveil
its new, longest range DS Vision 3000 (http://www.minicom.com/av_ds3000.htm)
digital signage distribution system at this year's Screen Expo, Europe's
premiere digital signage event, which takes place February 5th and 6th 2008,
at the National Hall, Olympia, London. Minicom's booth, E25, is located at
the center of the ground floor.

DS Vision 3000 is a long range CAT5 based distribution system
delivering HD video and stereo-audio content to multiple screens up to
600m/2000ft away. Its unique, fully bidirectional RS-232 serial management
capability allows administrators to remotely query and turn on/off remote
displays and provides centralized management control.

Minicom is also unveiling its new cutting-edge Dual Cascade
Receiver Unit (DCL) for the DS Vision that significantly expands the system's
potential by supporting not only star configurations, but also daisy chains.
With the DCL you can cascade up to ten units in a row enabling easier
positioning of screens and reduced cable clutter. In addition, the DCL has
double the power of a regular video receiver allowing you to put two
back-to-back screens on a single unit while still controlling each screen
separately.

Eran Kessel, Vice President for Marketing at Minicom says:
"With its real-time HD video distribution, long distance range and the
industry's only GUI-based screen management program, the DS Vision 3000
offers the most complete player-to-screen solution for the "Last Mile" of any
digital signage network."

The DS Vision 3000 system will be on display at Screen Expo's
Digital Signage Showcase
(http://www.screenevents.co.uk/screenexpo2008/DSS.htm), which shows the
complete end-to-end digital signage installation with the key market leaders
in the supply chain. Minicom, manufacturer of real-time player-to-screen
distribution and extension systems will be displaying its solutions alongside
3M, Pixel Inspiration, RGB Communications and NEC.

The new DS Vision 3000 (http://www.minicom.com/av_ds3000.htm)
is shipping Q2 2008.
