ANADIGICS Expands WiMAX Portfolio with New RF Power Amplifier Engineered for 2.3-2.4 GHz Frequency Band

BARCELONA, Spain, and WARREN, New Jersey, February 11 /PRNewswire/ --

- Designed for WiMAX and WiBro Applications, New AWM6422 Amplifier
Delivers Exceptional Linearity and Efficiency at High Levels of Output Power

ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANAD), a leading provider of semiconductor
solutions in the broadband wireless and wireline communications markets,
today announced its new AWM6422 Power Amplifier at the Mobile World Congress
2008, Barcelona, Spain. By offering the AWM6422, which operates in the
2.3-2.4 GHz frequency band allocated for broadband mobile wireless services,
ANADIGICS expands its portfolio of leading edge products for WiMAX and WiBro
(Korea) systems. The new AWM6422 is already being integrated into USB
Adaptors manufactured for a major Korean telecom company.

A variation of ANADIGICS' widely accepted AWM6423, which was introduced
last year, the new AWM6422 Power Amplifier (PA) is a high performance device
with exceptional linearity and efficiency at high levels of output power.
Designed for WiMAX and WiBro applications in the 2.3-2.4 GHz band, the
AWM6422 supports the IEEE 802.16e-2005 wireless standard as well as the IEEE
802.16d-2004 and the ETSI EN301-021 standards. Optimized for use in mobile
devices, the AWM6422 requires a nominal +3.3 V supply, but also provides
enhanced RF performance when used with supply voltages as high as +4.2V.

"With today's announcement of our new AWM6422, ANADIGICS continues its
leadership in providing state-of-the-art PA technology for wireless product
and system design engineers worldwide," said Ron Michels, Senior Vice
President and General Manager of Broadband Products, ANADIGICS, Inc. "Our
growing portfolio of WiMAX power amplifiers provides the high linearity,
advanced functional integration and superior power efficiency required to
support the high performance requirements of today's rapidly emerging
broadband systems."

In addition to using ANADIGICS' patented, industry-leading InGaP-Plus(TM)
Technology, the new AWM6422 Power Amplifier features:

-- Greater than 30 dB of RF Gain
-- Low EVM contribution at high output power levels:
       -- 2.5 % EVM at +22 dBm (+3.3 V Supply)
       -- 4 % EVM at +23.5 dBm (+3.3 V Supply)
       -- 2.5 % EVM at +23.5 dBm (+4.2 V Supply)
       -- 4 % EVM at +25 dBm (+4.2 V Supply)
    -- Integrated 25 dB Attenuator
    -- Integrated Output Power Detector
-- 50 ohm Matched RF Ports for Reduced External Component Count
    -- RoHS Compliant 4.5 mm x 4.5 mm x 1.4 mm Surface Mount Package.
