BASF Podcast: The Chemical Reporter - How Does a Fluorescent Lamp Work?

LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany, February 27 /PRNewswire/ -- We usually think of a light bulb when thinking of light. Yet, a light
bulb has very little in common with a fluorescent tube. In a light bulb, the
light is generated by a filament. On the other hand, a gas is stimulated,
causing the fluorescent lamp to illuminate. In entertaining weekly episodes
our Chemical Reporter answers questions of our Podcast listeners on Chemistry
in our everyday life.
