In-Game-Advertising Firm JOGO Media Wins Media Group as Strategic Investor
DUESSELDORF, Germany and NEW YORK, September 6 /PRNewswire/ -- JOGO Media Inc., a New York firm specializing in in-game-advertising, has secured a round of financing from Switzerland's largest media group, Goldbach Media AG. As a result of the transaction, Goldbach Media's subsidiary, game mediarep AG, now holds a 25% stake of the US company. Through close cooperation both companies will expand their positions in the rapidly growing in-game-advertising market. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed. As advertising within PC, console, mobile and browser based games is becoming significantly more attractive to Advertisers, the partnership between JOGO Media Inc. and game mediarep AG offers valuable impetus to the in-game advertising market. JOGO Media will support game mediarep AG with global advertising opportunities via its extensive experience in the US market as well the companies effort's through its proprietary in-game-advertising technologies. Additionally, game mediarep will leverage JOGO's game portfolio to provide additional value to Swiss, Austrian, Liechtenstein and as well as the new EU Eastern European Markets. As a globally acting provider of in-game marketing solutions and technologies, JOGO Media see themselves as a partner of both game publishers and the advertising industry alike. Cooperation with the similarly oriented game mediarep AG provides both companies with the opportunity to significantly expand their in-game-advertising activities.
