New Website has a Million Good Reasons to Advertise

MACCLESFIELD, England, March 20 /PRNewswire/ --

Computing teacher Kirstin Bailey (36), of Rushton Spencer, Macclesfield
has designed a website that aims to make a difference for charities. At a
pound per pixel, the millionpound-ad at http://www.millionpound-ad.co.uk lets
people and businesses advertise their products or services through a GBP100
pound square of 100 pixels on the main page with a link to their own website.

A keen athlete, Kirstin studied at Huddersfield Uni and met fellow
athlete John Taylor while fell running. He died suddenly a few years ago from
cardiomyopathy and Kirstin set up the registered charity, The John Taylor
Foundation, to financially help young athletes and also raise awareness of
Cardiomyopathy.

Cardiomyopathy, sometimes known as an enlarged heart, is not caused by
athletic training but can be caused for example by having had a virus. The
walls of the heart thicken and then can loose elasticity that can ultimately,
if not detected, result in sudden death (for more information about this
condition please see the foundations website
http://www.JohnTaylorFoundation.org.uk).

The millionpound-ad is a bid by Kirstin to harness the power of the web
and help the Foundation and other charities by selling a million pixels on
the site and donating this money to charity.

Kirstin says: "I love my work with the foundation and wanted to think of
a unique idea of raising awareness and money for it and other charities. I
wanted to combine my love of website creativity, charity work and allow not
only myself but other people to make money to make a difference and achieve
the goal of creating the millionpound-ad."

The John Taylor Foundation has helped many young athletes whether
recreational or professional, including Carrie Hewitt, who won the World
Junior Mountain Running Championship in Alaska and more recently Adam Grice,
who finish 5th in the World Mountain Running Championships - this is an event
that John particularly liked to do well in.

The website aims to help any registered charities of advertiser's choice.
To start with Kirstin has given some free space to the John Taylor Foundation
and her family have taken some advertising space to help her on her way.
