TEL AVIV, Israel, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The recent publication (in Russian only) of "A Jew - who is he? A
National and Religious Self-Determination with Precedence Rulings by The High
Court of Justice", published by "Gesharim Jerusalem", was sponsored by the
Michael Cherney (Mikhail Chernoy) Fund, and is an excellent tool for all
those who are interested in Israel's dilemmas concerning religion and state.
The publication of the second volume (out of 9) of Collected Works by
Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky by Jabotinsky Institute, Israel and "The Ark",
Moscow Jewish Center is nearing a presentation, with sponsorship by MCF. This
is the first attempt to bring together all Jabotinsky's Russian-language
writings, 90 % of which haven't been reprinted since the first publication.
The project will be completed in 2010, the 130th anniversary of Jabotinsky's
birth and at the same time the 70th anniversary of his death.
Druze community, with a grant from MCF, will be publishing a memorial
book in the name of Yuri Shtern, who, during his public office as a Member of
Knesset, assisted the Druze community in Israel as well. In this book, Yuri's
Druze friends and associates share their personal stories and memories.
Another book in memory of MK Yuri Shtern (in Russian only) by professor
of Tel Aviv University, Moshe Kenigshtein, was published by "Bridges of
Culture/Gesharim", with assistance from MCF.
The book discusses various effects Russian immigration had on the
development of Israel and the status of Russian immigrants at present time.
MCF has made "information war on terrorism" a top priority
among the activities it supports. First publication in the new series called
'Truth and Lies' is a Russian edition of "The Non-Existent Manuscript: A
Study of the Protocols of the Sages of Zion" by Cesare G. De Michelis which
is a fascinating popular study, where every hypothesis is supported by
incontrovertible evidence.
With assistance from MCF, Mechanaim has published a book "Rav Avraham
Kook - the man and his teachings". This is the first such work by Dr. Pinchas
Polonsky, a lecturer at Bar Ilan University, that is dedicated solely to the
analysis of religious Zionism.
