- Lloyds TSB is the U.K.'s Most Popular Online Banking Brand
comScore, Inc. (Nasdaq: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world,
today released the results of a study on the U.K. online banking sector,
based on data from comScore Media Metrix and analysis from comScore Marketing
Solutions. The report measured online banking activity, including the number
of customers and the number of visits per month.

Accessing Online Accounts
In January, 10.9 million customers logged onto at least one online
banking account, representing 33 percent of the total U.K. online population.
On an aggregate basis, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) had the most online
banking customers in the U.K. in January (2.9 million), driven largely by the
2 million people who accessed NatWest's online banking service.
The most popular individual online banking brand was Lloyds TSB with
2.8 million customers. It was also the most frequently visited online
banking service in the study, averaging 6.8 visits per customer during
January.
