- Give to Someone Special: Give Something Back to Charity

Whatever the occasion - Father's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, weddings,
anniversaries or academic achievements - finding something sensational to
give to someone special can be daunting, and sometimes impossible. TopLots,
the eBay auction house for once-in-a-lifetime heritage experiences, opens
today from 8.30pm with one hundred exceptional lots. It continues right up to
Father's Day (15th June) - so is perfect timing to buy Dad something out-of
the-ordinary.

Individuals, families, companies or groups are invited to bid for their
desired lots and do their bit to help support Britain's charitable heritage
organisations; by visiting http://www.toplots.co.uk, browsing the auction and
buying someone special - or even themselves - a unique and unforgettable
experience.

One lucky lady and her friends could be taking tea in Agatha Christie's
Devonshire holiday home. Or, fashionistas could dress up to the nines and
mingle with the stars at the VIP opening party of 'Vivienne Westwood - The
Exhibition'. Still on the finery front, avid Royalists can step into the
dressing rooms of Kensington Palace's Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection -
Europe's finest, not usually on public view. Finally, diamonds are definitely
a girl's best friend with a personal tour of The Crown Jewels in the Tower of
London.

For tough guys who like their toys, there's a rare opportunity to
experience a fully guided tour for two, of the Yorkshire Air Museum's unique
Halifax MKIII bomber from WWII; ride in an original and beautifully restored
World War Two Panzer III tank, sit in the cockpit of Concorde; or even fire a
Howitzer. Motor enthusiasts can enjoy the privilege of a seat in a veteran
car on the world famous annual London to Brighton run, or take a spin in a
vintage Bentley. Go full steam ahead and take the controls of a Light Engine,
and maybe shunt some wagons along the track.

Children can have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the
Big Friendly Giant (BFG) and host their own party at the Roald Dahl Museum;
or have a whole science centre to themselves, their friends and family. Walk
like an Egyptian and get acquainted with an Egyptian mummy at The Birmingham
Museum and Art Gallery; or even clash swords and train to be a Knight!

How it works - browse and bid

Prospective bidders simply visit http://www.toplots.co.uk; where they can
browse the wide range of experiences offered by UK heritage organisations
from museums, galleries, historic houses, castles and gardens, through to
steam and transport attractions. To bid, they should click one of the
dedicated links to the eBay shop and normal eBay bidding rules apply.

Each successful bid gives something back to charity. With eighty percent
of each sale's proceeds being donated to the charitable organisation that
originally presented the lot, the remaining twenty percent covers
administrative costs of the TopLots Auction, and supports the whole of the
UK's heritage sector.

TopLots At-a-glance:

- TopLots is an online auction organised to generate vital new funds for

- All proceeds from this auction will be used to support not-for-profit

Development Partners - all working closely with VisitBritain.
