- Microsoft European Partners Combine to Give ISVs Complete Control of 
Their On-Demand Products and Licensing

NTT Europe Online and PC-WARE today announce the start of a new
partnership that will provide ISVs with a one-stop solution to meet their
hosting, Microsoft licensing, end user management and license control
requirements when delivering their applications via software-as-a-service
(SaaS).

The partnership allows ISVs to benefit from a fully integrated service,
which combines NTT Europe Online's hosting expertise and services, Microsoft
SPLA licensing and PC-WARE's software licensing and management capabilities.

Whilst it is recognised that SaaS is a huge opportunity for ISVs, moving
from selling software traditionally to an on-demand model raises significant
challenges in a variety of areas, not least with license allocation and
control, end user management and billing.

PC-WARE's portal service, adapted from its existing Software Asset
Management platform, will provide ISVs the ability to automatically allocate
licenses, track, monitor and manage client usage, and bill either directly or
through their channel on a per user, per session or per month basis. The
portal service can be branded in the ISVs livery and bridges the gap between
delivering a hosted service and managing individual business users in a multi
tenanted environment, providing precise control over license allocation and
billing and enabling the ISV to harness the benefits of SaaS.
