A Proven Solution Against Online Fraud, Finally Available in Europe

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, July 9 /PRNewswire/ --

- While European and North American Banks are Struggling on Security
Issues, a Korean Software Company Successfully - for Many Years Already -
Delivers Online Security for Banking, e-Commerce and Governments in Asia and
Latin America.

While in Europe and North America client level security is a hotly
discussed topic, banks are struggling with the question how to offer clients
a solution at customer level. This solution should be in addition to regular
desktop products. AhnLab, a Korean company famous for its V3 anti virus
engine, is successfully offering Online Security for a secure connection
between a customer and a company's website. Customers need to install
software from a bank, e-commerce of government website in order to obtain an
instant and real-time secure protection.

'It is not a question if, but much more a question when to offer the
solution to end users, according to Peter Oh, CEO of AhnLab.' He is most
surprised that European and US banks are so hesitant. AhnLab has already
proven that AOS does the job, securing the connection on multilevel
on-hacking, phishing and man-in-the-middle. It has proven this at more than
100 companies, serving over 20 million clients. AhnLab started in Latin
America providing AOS for the largest bank in Mexcio (Banamex - Citi Group)
and Bank Santander with AOS. The list of companies using AOS is impressive
and it has been steadily growing since the introduction in 2001. Next,
banking AOS is used for e-commerce and governments as well. JCom, the largest
e-commerce website in Japan uses AOS.

AhnLab claims to have a lead on the competition. This year AhnLab
launched a security browser. In Asia companies are suffering from a new
hacking method called memory hacking, which can be secured by AhnLab's Secure
browser. It is only a matter of time before memory hacking is an issue in the
rest of the world, says Peter Oh.

'In the world of online security there are many incorrect assumptions,
and many different solutions are offered. But most of them cover only a part
of the problem and do not offer a fundamental solution. It seems a lot of IT
companies offer one or more solutions for hacking, phishing and
man-in-the-middle, but if you compare these individual solutions with each
other or with AOS, and take the time to go in-depth on technology, you will
discover a surprising amount of differences, according to Hyuk Brands,
Director of SQNetworks a Dutch based IT Technology distributor introducing
AOS in Europe this year.

Signals are clear. To the great surprise of many in the banking business
ING Direct is testing Trusteer's product Report. If all goes well, ING Direct
reported it is planning to offer the Trusteer solution to 14.000.000 clients
globally. ING Direct is choosing to take control of the security for their
customers. AhnLab was very much surprised by the announcement of Trusteer and
will contact ING Direct on short notice to inform CIO Rudy Wolf about AOS.
Apart from the fact that ING Direct is testing the Trusteer solution it is
most of all a good signal that taking control over the security on client
level is inevitable. Many banks are hesitant because they fear an overload of
requests for support. According to Hyuk Brands figures of what AhnLab has
experienced so far based on a solid amount of implementation, show that this
fear is not necessary at all.

Starting 2008, AOS is supported in Europe by IT Technology Distributor
SQNetworks based in the Netherlands.
