Ascom Centralized Management - Enables Over the Air Upgrades of IP-DECT Handsets
GOTEBORG, Sweden, August 18 /PRNewswire/ -- - Saves Both Time and Administration Ascom Wireless Solutions continues the technical development of its new Centralized Management for wireless handsets. The concept is already implemented for Ascom's VoWiFi handsets, and will be released in Q4 also in Ascom nextGen IP-DECT handsets. This means that if handsets need to be updated or settings need to be changed users can continue to use their handsets without interruptions. Personal settings are stored centrally and the management platform allows administrators to access, diagnose and modify all portables and chargers from a central workstation, without the need of collecting the devices. Product manager Torbjorn Enberg states, "Our customers will gain from this solution as they will get full control over all their wireless handsets. They can attend problems faster and handset profiles can easily be optimised for different staff categories.
