TORONTO, October 9 /PRNewswire/ --
- Redline's RedMAX(TM) Products Provide Nex-Tech With Superior Coverage,
Capacity and Lower Costs for its WiMAX Deployment
TORONTO, October 9 /PRNewswire/ --
Redline Communications Group Inc. ("Redline") (TSX and AIM: RDL), a
leading provider of WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products,
today announced that Nex-Tech, a subsidiary of Rural Telephone Service
Company and one of Kansas' largest and most diversified integrators of
communication technologies, has chosen Redline's 3.65 GHz RedMAX solution for
its multi-city WiMAX roll-out in Kansas USA.
Nex-Tech will deploy Redline's RedMAX high capacity base stations and
customer subscriber units to provide WiMAX coverage in areas that could not
be serviced via previous broadband solutions in the past, or where DSL and
fiber were not available. The multi-city WiMAX network will focus primarily
on supporting the residential market which accounts for 80% of Nex-Tech's
subscriptions, and will include deployments in Hays & Great Bend Kansas.
"Our customers have come to expect a high level of service from
Nex-Tech," said Justin McClung, Internet Solutions Manager at Nex-Tech.
"Deploying Redline's high capacity 3.65 GHz WiMAX base stations eliminated
the issues we encountered using other wireless solutions, including
mitigating interference, ensuring high levels of throughput and delivering
the Quality of Services (QoS) support we needed for a successful business
model. With Redline's 3.65 GHz WiMAX solutions, we can maintain user
confidence, reliability and significantly increase upstream and downstream
throughput."
"Nex-Tech required a solution that could be deployed quickly, reach its
customers in cities across Kansas, and that would be reliable and perform in
non-line-of-sight conditions, especially in areas that could not be serviced
via traditional wire-line technologies," said Chris Koeneman, Vice President
of Worldwide Sales, Redline Communications. "Redline's high capacity base
stations are able to support 500 users per sector, and boast industry-leading
bandwidth allowing Nex-Tech to realize a rapid return on its investment."
Redline's RedMAX AN-100U and AN-100UX base stations and RedMAX SU-O's,
(Subscriber Unit's-Outdoor) were installed initially in just 6-8 weeks in
areas which required immediate high capacity access. Nex-Tech expects to
complete the initial deployments of its WiMAX networks by November 2008.
Redline's RedMAX(TM) Family
Redline's RedMAX(TM) family of WiMAX solutions includes the world's first
complete system to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) mark for conformance
to the WiMAX standards for performance and interoperability. Redline's

of its RedMAX(TM) family to include products for additional frequency bands,
