Prospects is Awarded Gloucestershire County Council's Young People's Services Contract
LONDON, September 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Prospects has just won a prestigious 3 year contract to provide both
integrated leadership and management of young people's services and the
provision of advice, guidance and support for young people in
Gloucestershire from April 2008.
Prospects was selected as the preferred provider for their ability to
offer added value as a strategic partner, their experience in running
services for young people in other areas of the country and their value for
money in terms of service delivery.
Prospects Chief Executive, Ray Auvray said: "We are looking forward to
building an effective strategic partnership with Gloucestershire County
Council and delivering first class services to young people. We will work
closely with Gloucestershire County Council and Connexions staff to plan,
develop and implement an integrated service for young people across the
county."
Linda Uren, Director of Commissioning and Partnerships said: "The
recommendation to award the contract to Prospects reflects a desire to secure
sustainable outcomes for young people in the future and we think that they
are best placed to deliver them."
Councillor Paul McLain, Cabinet Member for Young People, said: "Prospects
are a not for profit company with an impressive value base. The decision is
all about improving and building on Gloucestershire's existing services for
our young people. By integrating the management of the separate youth bodies
we are laying the foundations for a much more joined up way of serving
Gloucestershire's young community."
